"Bilby Brothers" wins Naturvision Festival

The High Definition documentary "Bilby Brothers" was awarded Jury prize for films in the newly formed category of environmental and conservation. "The Jury apparently liked my film so much that they developed a special new category for films dealing with environmental and conservation issues," Larry Zetlin said. Bilby Brothers was shot using the Sony F900 HDCAM cameras and edited on the AVID|DS HD.

"Bilby Brothers" Selected to go to Germany

Gulliver Media's recent HD production "BILBY BROTHERS - The Men Who Killed the Easter Bunny" (48 minutes) has been short listed for the International Nature and Wildlife Film Festival NaturVision, 2002, in Germany, which runs 18 to 23 September. "BILBY BROTHERS" is one of only 14 titles selected for competition from 148 entries and is the only Australian film in the festival.

The stars of “Bilby Brothers” recently made an appearance on the ABC’s Australian Story program.

"Bilby Brothers" was shot using ProCam’s F900 HD camcorders, edited on AVID Media Composer and finished on AVID’s High Definition DS HD suite.

Silverchair wins at Queensland New Filmmakers Awards

The Queensland New Filmmakers Awards (QNFA) are held in Brisbane annually and once again Sean Gilligan & Sarah-Jane Woulahan from Squareyed Films have received another award, this time for Silverchair's "The Greatest View" the bands first release off their new album.

Digi Post edited this clip in the AVID Symphony suite and is currently completing post on the second of Silverchair's new clips. Digi Post congratulates all of the winners at the QNFA 2002 awards..

Digi Post first in Queensland with AVID High Definition Edit Suite

Once again ProCam’s Digi Post facility is leading the way by taking delivery of the latest High Definition editing system, the AVID|DS HD. Avid is the undisputed leader in non-linear editing and the DS-HD continues this tradition. This latest Avid complements the Sony HD camera kit and VTR’s so that now Digi Post provides a complete High Definition package from acquisition to the final master.

“The Greatest View” – Silverchair, Edited on Symphony

Squareyed Films latest film clip Silverchair’s “The Greatest View” has just been completed at Digi Post on the Avid Symphony. Editor Rachel Grierson sacrificed her holiday break to cut the latest offering from one of Australia’s best known rock acts. The music clip shot and edited entirely in Brisbane adds to the image of Brisbane becoming the home of music clip production.

A New Symphony @ Digi Post

ProCam Digi Post has just taken delivery of the latest AVID Symphony online non-linear finishing suite. The Symphony joins the already impressive range of editing and design solutions at Digi Post including the non-linear AVID Media Composers, and compositing suites such as the Quantel Hal e.

"Now Digi Post can offer clients the choice of linear and non-linear finishing suites, sourcing from any tape format and mastering to Digital Betacam." Michele Littler - Facilities Manager.

The Symphony has all the features of the main linear on-line suites with the added advantage of being a non-linear edit suite. The Avid Media Composers can export directly to Symphony providing complete flexibility and efficient workflow for any project.
